6. Third-Party Service Providers
We use trusted third parties to operate core features. They process data on our behalf according to their own privacy policies and our agreements with them:
- InstantDB — database, authentication, file storage, and real-time sync
- Polar.sh — subscription checkout, billing, and customer portal
- Resend — transactional and reminder email delivery
- OpenAI — parsing curriculum PDFs when you use AI import (Pro); PDF content is sent for processing
- WeatherAPI.com — local weather forecasts based on city/state you provide
- Hosting infrastructure (e.g., Railway, Vercel, or similar) — application hosting and delivery
When you use AI curriculum import, the PDF you upload is transmitted to OpenAI for analysis. Do not upload documents containing information you are not comfortable sharing with that provider. We recommend removing unnecessary personal identifiers from PDFs before import.

If you delete your account or request deletion, we will delete or anonymize personal information within a reasonable period, except where retention is required for legal, security, or backup purposes.
Free-plan users may have limited history retention (for example, learning log history beyond a rolling window). Paid plans may retain full history for the life of the subscription.
8. Security
We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, and scoped permissions within our application. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
